Pending...

We are pending.  Pending for the adoption (no news again this week) and pending for...a new home!   Why not move a family of 8 at the same time said family is preparing for two new children to enter the household? James and I started our married life much the same way: we closed on a house, moved, bought a new car, and married in the same week.  This is just how we roll.

In the meantime, we are realizing lots of cleaning and organizing and packing will need to be done.  It's a good thing we have a lot of helpers.  Here are three in action:

Yes, there was enough water on the floor afterward to fill a small pool, but she actually did a pretty good job.  This is one of those jobs, however, you give very sparingly.

Those single socks are great for dusting.  The kids just slip them on, I spritz the sock with a very mild non-toxic cleaner, and off they go.  By the way, do you see what that little one is doing in the background? I think he is taste testing the dust.  We are having quite a battle with that right now, not the taste testing, but with everything going into his mouth.  Just a reminder that once again, we have to remove choking hazards (for him and especially for our newest ones).  It's a good thing Monkey Boy is so diligent about finding them.  Since he is past that "choking hazard" stage, he will sometimes ask for hard candy by saying, "Can I have a choking hazard?"

We have to work on his technique.  One does not typically dust with the back of one's hands, but maybe it works for him.  Whatever the case, he did the top of the diaper genie and announced he was finished for the day.

Monkey Boy was a huge help.  He could get into those nooks and crannies that the rest of us can't fit into.  He did a better job than the rest of us.  He is actually a great helper as he has an intuitive sense of what to do to help.  It's hard to explain, but usually having such a young one in the kitchen is a hinderance, but he is not.  He loves to help with breakfast in particular.

Okay, have to brag about Sissy a bit.  She impressed her senseis at her last karate test by breaking her board in three pieces (by kicking out the middle section of the board).  Here she is staging a not so true to life reenactment since she kicked it originally (but who doesn't love a little drama around here...okay, usually the mama doesn't like the drama, but that is of a different kind):

Here she is with the result:

This is a shot of the triplets after their first trip to the dentist.  They did wonderfully.  The bag that Monkey boy is carrying is Bob's attempt to make him a balloon after his popped.  Thankfully, he was satisfied with it.

And finally, to celebrate Mother's Day, I have this wonderful imitation of me by my self-proclaimed "sweety heart"

P1050397 I only wish I were that cute!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there!
